Doug began his mortgage career in 2000 when he was the second person hired on for the nations largest mortgage lender Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, which was opening an office in Brentwood California. With a lot of experience in financing from owning several businesses he was a natural fit in the financial world and was able to communicate effectively with customers on loan options. He was so successful that he was NUMBER ONE IN THE NATION for a specialty loan product featured by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage called the Smart Pay Loan. Doug funded over $25 million in this product alone in 2003 not to mention the millions of dollars he funded in other loan products. With his success he became a highly recruited by other national lenders, GMAC Mortgage, Washington Mutual, and Countrywide Home Loans. Never finding quite what he was looking for to be able to provide optimal customer service and loan options, he then proceeded to launch The Mortgage Physicians in January of 2007.
Doug’s mission is to provide a company that would focus on customer service and education, so as to fit people with the best loan for their individual and specific needs. Learning from the “Big Boys” and his past ventures, he is featuring a customer driven Mortgage Broker Company. Because Doug realizes what the “Big Boys” have seemed to forget:
Customer service is the life-blood of any organization. Everything flows from it and nourished by it. Customer service is not a department…it is an attitude!
